Clara

Clara likes her picture taken and today she brought some flowers and asked if I would take her picture with them. Isn't she sweet?

40th Anniversary Celebration

My grandparents celebrated their 40th anniversary this last month. We had a big party with lots of family in town. I think they are so cute together. Here are some shots by themselves, with their kids, and with a portion of the grandkids and great-grandkids that they have. We have been very blessed to have them just a mile away for the last 2 years when they sold their house and moved to Garland. We love them and say, "Congratutlations!"

Goodbye Molly

We said goodbye to our dog Molly this month. We were very happy to find her a good family to go live with. Greta had a hard time saying goodbye, but it has been a nice change for me. One less thing to worry about. I do miss her cleanup abilities for spills though. She is a great dog and we enjoyed our 2 years with her in our house.

Reunion Tower and Dallas Museum of Art

We went to the Dallas Museum of Art today. It was the kids first time at an adult museum. They did really well and enjoyed the variety of art. We were lucky to have my mom go with us; she would make a great museum docent. We had a picnic outside the Nasher Sculpture Center and checked out the Trammel Crow Asian artwork. Then we called our friend Jill Johnston who runs the Wolfgang Puck restaurant at the top of Reunion Tower. She took us on a private tour of the tower and restaurant. The kids loved running around the observation deck and seeing the views.

Jonas' 9th Birthday

We celebrated Jonas' 9th birthday last week. He was really excited to get a Lazer gun set. We had grasshopper pie, gave him his birthday spankings, and went swimming. He got too close to his candles while blowing them out and got a big wiff of smoke. We had a great day celebrating and he had some fun presents. The pictures are him setting up a magic show and excavating some pirate treasure. Stratego is his favorite board game and he finally got a set. He is a great kid and big brother. Adam moved into his room and they are excited to hang out as the boys. Our family is lucky to have him.
