Jonas is awesome.
Jonas is doing really well. He was baptized this summer. He started cub scouts and has earned his Bobcat, some belt loops, and is really close to earning his Wolf. We did a mock volcano expulsion which was a birthday present from Aunt Amy. He loves to play outside riding bikes or having Star Wars battles. We took out our pool this summer and now have a large sand pit where the kids like to play. I also put Jonas is our big tree for the first time. He was so funny trying to get down. It was about six feet. He is a great kid and doing really well in 3rd grade. He has discovered that he likes techno music. He lets his Pokemon game play on his Nintendo DS while he reads.

July 08
We have been having lots of fun this summer. Here is some shots of the kids on the slip and slide out front that Jonas got for his birthday. Then Jonas and Clara were husking corn on the cob for dinner. Greta got a fat lip playing at the museum. That was a lot of blood. We just returned from a trip to see my sister in Houston. My camera batteries were not charged, so there are only a few photos at the beach. If you look close you can see Afton's cute belly in one picture. She is expecting a new baby January 3! We had a great time hanging out with my nephews and celebrating their birthdays.

Questions from a 3 year old
I was snuggling Greta tonight and she asked me "Why we have air?" I explained breathing, then she asked if plants need air. It is fun to watch her curious mind at work. She also asked about bones and food. I explained and then she wanted to know why her big sister could color so well. It must be hard to be little and never be quite as far along. I showed her how her ears didn't have any bones and could move. She wanted to know why ears can hear? I told her so she could hear me say "I love her." Her smile was a perfect way to end the day.

My chubby little man
Adam has been growing fast. He weighed in at 18lb 1 oz and 24 1/2" at his four month checkup. I have some cute shots of his rolls on his legs. Personally, I think his chubby shoulders are adorable. My wrist has started aching from carrying him around. Thank goodness for strollers. Adam went to Orlando to bury his great-grandmother Lois' ashes. She passed away in Dallas in April. We met some family and went to Downtown Disney. Adam enjoyed watching the fish at Rainforest Cafe. He traveled well even though he was recovering from an ear infection.
Jonas and Clara are home from school and we are enjoying being home. We have had some sickness, so we have stayed home more than I had planned. The kids seem to play so well and enjoy the down time. I am glad we have a big backyard and a circle street for bikes and scooters.

Clara update
Clara is about to finish up her t-ball season undefeated. Go Thundercats! She had field day and a beach theme party at school. She did so well her first year at school and is excited for 1st grade. First, she will enjoy summer. She lost her front tooth at school on the last day, but from the video you can see that Jonas tried to help her pull it out the night before. I am working on an update of Adam as well. He is growing fast as you can see from his picture at Clara's game.
