Jonas' school project

This is Jonas' report on the Statue of Liberty. He is holding a small replica of the statue which Mike cut out and Jonas painted green. The video does turn when you start it.

Basketball and Cheering

This year Jonas played on basketball league called Upwards through a local church. He played last year and I really liked the program. They teach the kids and don't keep score until the 3rd grade. Clara can't play ball until 1st grade, but we let her join the cheer squad. Where else do they encourage cheerleaders to wear turtlenecks and tights? They teach the kids to memorize a scripture each week, practice good sportsmanship, and give a special star to the player who has the most Christlike behavior during the game.

Clara & Adam

Clara helped give Adam a bath in the sink while Jonas took photos and Greta supervised. It does really help to have some extra hands to help- although 8 may be 2 too many. Clara choose to share her room with Adam; she has his dresser and changing pad in her room. She evens takes his dirty clothes to the laundry room with hers.

Adam 2 weeks

Adam is fitting in perfectly with our family. His older siblings adore him. He is a wonderful baby, not fussy at all. He already weighs 8 lb 1 oz and is 21 inches long. Not bad for 14 days old. Obviously, he eats well. We have enjoyed being taken care of so well by family and friends. I haven't had to manage dinner by myself yet. We have stayed home, but have had lots of visits from family and friends, so I am not too stir crazy.

13th Anniversary

Ok, here is another post before my baby has come. Mike and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary this last Sunday. Since my favorite number is 13 and my sister-in-law put some photos together for me- I thought I would post. They aren't in any order, so it is fun to watch and be surprised. It is hard for me to believe that I have been married this long. It sounds so much longer than it feels.

I know many of you are eagerly checking my blog to see if we have a little one yet. So, we don't and it is all I can do to keep waiting. My due date is January 16th but my first 3 have come early, so it is a mental challenge to not think about it constantly. I have a check up today, and boy do my kids want to see their baby brother or sister. Well, Jonas says he only wants a brother. It is even more exciting to expect a baby with siblings being so excited and impatient.
